Sijonge Kuwe Youth Development Project is pleased to report about our activities for the past four months from 15 March to 13 July 2023.It is very cold in Cape Town since it is winter and the winter is made to be more cold because of loadshedding which is very destructive.Despite these challenges Sijonge Kuwe as been active as usual during this period.
11 Youths,6 women and 1 person with disability were trained on art/cultural skills training during this period and all these people completed Basic Business Skills Training which is a two weeks course on how to run a business.
24 Businesses from the local community were counselled during this reporting period and counselling was mainly on Business Plan,Costing& Pricing,How to tender for business and Budgeing.This include 5 new business start ups that were started in April 2023.
3 Different workshops were held during this period including Swot Analysis for the business,How to register businsses for tendering and Costing& Pricing for the business.30 Entrepreneurs attended these workshops.
Meetings/networking-We attended Sataholders meeting conducted by Khayelitsha Development Forum on new developments in Khayelitsha and a report meeting on Budge for the City of Cape Town for 2023/24 Financial Year.
