Set Her Free

By Globemed GW | Partnership Directors

Thank you for supporting Set Her Free! In recent years, Set Her Free has seen many developments and new projects that we are so proud to support, and hope you will too. These projects have included the Sanitary Pad Program, the Tailoring Center, the startup of an agriculture program, planning the establishment of a life skills center, developing infrastructure for Angel House as a whole, and most recently, implementing a Library at the center.

Your donations will greatly contribute towards land expansion for the Set Her Free headquarters. In the future, we are working towards making Set  Her Free more self-sustainable.

The Life Skills Center will provide a HQ that is not susceptible to rent, and that is spacious enough to accommodate everyone. It will still provide the same comprehensive rehabilitative care, formal education, and vocational training. However, it will now be located a little outside downtown Kampala on land owned by SHF.

The Life Skills Center will also become home to more agricultural projects that will assist Set Her Free in becoming self sustainable. GW GlobeMed funded the transportation and agriculture tool needs for the addition of an agriculture skill development program in the vocational school. Beneficiaries at Set Her Free were able to travel to the SHF farm about one hour outside of the city and work to develop agriculture skills as well as yield crops to feed fellow beneficiaries at the centers. With the Life Skills center hosting more agricultural projects, the focus there can be shifted to farming.

The SHF library, which GW Globemed has also been involved with, is a brand new initiative. This will help with education for the younger girls as well as benefit the entire greater community.

In the long term, your donations will help SHF grow and blossom further. Their long term vision includes a fully functioning community in Kampala with a school, agriculture program, housing, etc.that no longer heavily relies on grants or donors. Every donation helps Set Her Free move closer to this vision. None of these initiatives would have been possible without your  continuous generosity towards Set Her Free. Thank you once again from GW GlobeMed and Set Her Free!
