The Theater, better than any speech to prevent sex

This year we used theatrical activities to strengthen the theme of Human Sexual Trafficking in 12 schools, with the presence of 80 students per school.
The cast gave life to 9 characters, one of which is Juanita, a 14-year-old adolescent, who decides to run away from her house. By the influence and deception of her “friend,” she is convinced to work with an unknown adult man, who forces her to do things that she doesn’t want to do.
At the end of the play, a theatrical forum is done, that involves role-play with the students and the characters of the play in dangerous situations. It reinforces the tools needed to know what you should do in those kinds of situations.
The reception by the teachers and the students has been excellent.
“The play was a complete success because the teachers were amazed with the acting. After a play that only lasted 15 minutes, the students participated in the reflection and identification of the actors that play a role in the theme of Human Sexual Trafficking. Without any type of scenery, and only with acting, the students were able to enter into each situation.” Testimony from teacher Brighitte Valverde Murillo
