This August, the IDH organized its 17th annual ExpoSida/ExpoVida, hosting approximately 25,000 students in five days, in conjunction with the Department of Education in Cochabamba, .
This year, the central theme was “Abre los ojos” (“Open your eyes”) with respect to the prevention of violence in romantic relationships and was well-received by attendees.
Other themes were presented in an interactive contest format and addressed a wide range of topics:
This event was an opportunity to reinforce the in-depth knowledge that these students have already gained from their teachers, trained by IDH’s very own prevention team.
The mayoralty of Cochabamba recognized the pedagogical benefit of this event and awarded the IDH the “Manuela Gandarillas” prize for its contribution to the promotion of human and social development in Bolivia.
