This project aims to empower educators to provide children worldwide with comprehensive, diverse, and high-quality sexuality education. We will host a free international online forum open to everyone, featuring experts from Taiwan, Hong Kong, the United States, and Japan, sharing best practices in comprehensive sexuality education (CSE). We provide Chinese-English and Chinese-Japanese interpretation, lowering barriers for participants and equipping educators to deliver better sex education.
In many parts of the world, sexuality education is limited, outdated, or stigmatized, leaving young people without essential knowledge about their bodies, relationships, and health. This lack of comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) creates gaps in understanding consent, gender equality, and safe practices, which can lead to issues like gender-based violence, unplanned pregnancies, and discrimination.
In 2023, we hosted the first CSE in Asia Forum, attracting nearly 400 participants, including students, teachers, and advocates from Asia. Building on this success, our current project features sex educators from Taiwan, the U.S., Japan, and Hong Kong, who will share methods and outcomes in designing sex ed for children. Participants worldwide can join for free to deepen their understanding of CSE, engage in international collaboration, and support global CSE promotion.
This project will create an international support network for sexuality education, encouraging collaboration and knowledge-sharing across countries. By sharing Taiwan's achievements and learning from global practices, we aim to develop stronger CSE strategies for Taiwan's future. With 300 online participants worldwide, this initiative promotes a broader understanding of comprehensive sexuality education and fosters lasting global partnerships.
