For many young women in rural Uganda, having a skill is not enough—opportunity is often what’s missing.
Talented and determined, many have learned tailoring but lack the basic tools and resources to turn their skills into income. Without sewing machines, fabrics, and start-up support, their potential remains untapped, and financial independence stays out of reach.
Through this GlobalGiving project, Development Alert is working to change that reality by supporting 100 young female tailors with the tools and resources needed to start and grow their own businesses.
