Dear Friends,
Greetings from Azad India Foundation!
It is my pleasure to share our latest report via Global Giving on the progress of our project to provide sewing machine to a needy girl for self-reliance in Kishanganj district of Bihar. The funds raised under global girl campaign have been life changing. Thank you for your support and for empowering girls to rise out of poverty.
In the first batch,Azad India Foundation gave away sewing machines to Angoora and Sareena from village Chattargach and Koltha from Block Pothia to help them become economically self-sufficient. Angoora eldest of eight siblings said,“ I am happy and thankful, as now I will able to contribute to my family’s income. I have learnt stitching but poverty had prevented me from buying sewing machine.”
Sareena is also happy to receive the sewing machine. Her father is a labor and with seven members to feed ,it was difficult to buy sewing machine. Sareena now plans to work within and from nearby areas as well.
Azad India Foundation is running sewing center at the village Chattargach where 20 girls are learning basic stitching and tailoring in a new batch. It is six-month course following which a girl can start earning from her home. As most of the girls belong to marginalized sections of the community they are unable to buy machines. This project helps them to realize their dreams.
Thank you for giving chance to succeed! Your gift is making a big impact in not only their life but given hope others as well.
Do contribute to help us give life of dignity to more disadvantaged girls and please spread the word.
