Dear friends, supporters, and donors,

We are pleased to share another update on the progress of the Sewing for Hope initiative and the difference your generosity continues to make in the lives of women and girls from Historically Marginalised People communities.

Thanks to your continued support, the initiative is moving forward. During this reporting period, training has continued alongside practical production, allowing the 45 participating women and girls to strengthen their modern sewing skills while gradually applying what they have learned to produce locally made garments and fabrics.

However, production remains limited due to a shortage of sewing materials. Although the participants have acquired valuable skills and are eager to put them into practice, the lack of sufficient fabrics and other essential materials has prevented them from producing at the desired level. Addressing this gap will be essential to help them move towards more consistent production and, ultimately, income-generating activities.

Despite these challenges, the participants remain committed to developing their skills and exploring opportunities for the future. An encouraging development is that they have begun assessing the local market to identify the types of garments and fabric products that are most needed and have the greatest potential for sale. This is an important step towards ensuring that future production responds to actual market demand and creates sustainable livelihood opportunities.

As previously reported, the initiative requires a total of 45 sewing machines. We are grateful that 13 machines have already been acquired, bringing us closer to our target. We continue to seek the support needed to secure the remaining machines, as well as sufficient sewing materials to enable the participants to practise their skills and increase production.

Your generosity has helped keep this initiative alive and has given these women and girls an opportunity to develop practical skills, explore their entrepreneurial potential, and work towards greater economic independence.

Thank you for standing with us. With your continued support, we hope to strengthen the training, expand production, and help transform these newly acquired skills into sustainable livelihoods for the participating women and girls.

Together, we are sewing the seeds of hope for a more inclusive and prosperous future.

Yours sincerely
