Background:

VidyaChetana is supporting education for children from underprivileged background from past 5 years and has covered around 2500 children. We also provide learning center facility for Government school children after school hours in different areas in Bangalore and Tumkur. We started Computer Centers in Tharuru and Kallambella at Tumkur District Sira Taluk this academic year, with help of our Partners Swami Vivekananda Youth and Rural Development Society’s. Sira Taluk is recognized for economic backwardness due to Everlasting Famine and is Located 80 KM north of Banagalore, Karnataka .

Location : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sira_Taluk

Most of the families depended on Agriculture. Due to poor rainfall much of the farm land cannot be cultivated. Many of Youths are uneducated they don’t know any other work. Migrating to big cities like Bangalore. In Bangalore they are getting very low paying jobs due lack of skills.

Our partner and the founder of S.V.Y.R.D.S  Mr.Tippe Swamy mentioned that the overall senses says that out of 100%... 76% of Youths are there in India. Just 76% of youth will not make India developed nation as majority of Youth are not skilled. With focus on Skill development among youth India can become developed nation.

Mr. Tippe Swamy gave an Ex:

A Single Youth with Skills                                                       A Single Youth without Skills

Earnings/Month                                                                       Earnings/Month

15,000 x 12 Months = 1,80,000/- per annum                    5,000 x 12 Months = 60,000/- per annum

Computer Teacher Says:

I believe computer literacy can bring revolution in impoverished communities. In this age of instant information on everything, anywhere and anytime is biggest game changer and empowering tool. I am glad to assist to bring this change among poorest of poor.
