Dear Amazing Donor,
This year started on a good note; all thank you.
During the year's first quarter, we experienced another dimension of raising financially savvy youths.
In line with our mission statement, "to provide exciting and unique opportunities for learning and community building. We strive to bring together children and youth from diverse backgrounds, uniting them under the common objective of learning financial and money skills while having fun," our team carefully planned two significant events to commemorate Global Money Week 2023, which theme is "Plan your money, plant your future."
Those two events we held to commemorate GMW 2023 were:
1. A webinar with Denu's Money Circle (DMC), tagged "Let's Talk about Money."
2. A Symposium (hybrid event) which featured interesting and exciting fun-filled moments that encouraged young people to develop healthy interests in money matters.
The symposium constituted the following activities, amongst others:
i. Playlet by students on the GMW 2023 theme.
ii. Panel Discussion with discussants from both the academic and business (banking) sectors.
iii. Virtual Keynote Address by the Co-Founder of Building Financial Freedom, Rachel Labi, from the USA, who inspired the young people in attendance with her story.
iv. Q&A and networking sessions.
We aimed all these at localizing the theme and helping those young people to develop the culture of planning their money. We reached out to about 50 young people in the GMW 2023 program. We can do more, and that's our resolve; to keep raising financially savvy youths.
A testimonial by one of the event attendees stood out for us. It reads, "I got value from the Let's Talk about Money conversation. Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of it".
The testimonial represents the voices of so many young people that we have the privilege to interface with because of your giving. Therefore, our Board, Management, Staff, and Volunteers are super excited and grateful for your giving, enabling us to raise financially savvy youths further and contribute to attaining SDG 1 (No Poverty).
We look forward to seeing more lives changed in our communities because of your buy-in to our vision "to create the right attitude towards money among the youths, preparing them to make better financial decisions in the future, and reducing the poverty gap in Nigeria."
Accept our team's warmest regards!
