Setting up Financial Clubs for young Nigerians

Dear Donor,

Thank you for playing a massive role in ensuring the continuity of the Financial Literacy Club activities in northern Nigeria for the first quarter of 2022. Grow With Data Youth Foundation envisions creating the right attitude towards money among youths, helping them make better informed financial decisions. 

The second term club activities were exciting and engaging for our students, staff, volunteers, and stakeholders. 

We joined the rest of the global community to commemorate the 2022 Global Money Week in March. The students dramatized their experiences and knowledge of finance. Part of the Global Money Week's commemoration activities included playlet presentations, group discussions, poems, and a radio talk show. The activities were centered on the theme "Build your future, be smart about money". We reached four hundred and fifty (450) beneficiaries. The radio talk show listeners were estimated to be three thousand five hundred (3,500) people. 

We will be engaging six (6) other schools in our community during the 3rd term, with an estimated 300 beneficiaries. This year, we plan regional expansion to 2 states - Taraba and Gombe states in northeast Nigeria. This development implies that the number of schools and participants involved in the Financial Literacy Inter-school Competition will increase by 100%.

I have been working with young people for over a decade now, but since joining the workforce here at Grow With Data Youth Foundation, my experience has been quite different. Practicing what I teach young people about finance has enabled me to connect with them more intensely. Grow With Data is not just a name; it is an experience!"
