The mission of Cedar Village is to make aging an enriching and fulfilling experience. Cedar Village has a successful program of engaging residents as volunteers in community service.
TheSenior VolunteersProject is a resident-driven initiative that involves both weekly and monthly acts of community service and truly exemplifies the meaning of performing a good deed. Providing the opportunity for our seniors to continue an active role as leaders in the community is just one manner in which we as staff members can trulyhonor our father and mother.
Recently, members of the Senior Volunteers Project made 200 snack bags which were delivered to the St. Vincent de Paul organization. These bags are given to people who are malnourished and/or may not be able to leave the facility while they are waiting for much needed services.
“I really enjoyed the chance to get to know people in my retirement community work by working together with them on this project. I always feel good after helping on one of these projects,” said one of the volunteers.
Your donation will help support seniors helping in their communities.
