Our group of resident volunteers (average 80 years and older) make a difference in purple. Residents who were active community volunteers before moving to Cedar Village, or have a new interest in volunteer work, do weekly projects and take monthly outings to volunteer at organizations in the community, such as the Ronald McDonald House, Crayons to Computers, and local homeless shelters. Our resident volunteers plan each project and outing collaboratively, wearing their purple volunteer shirts.
The Cedar Village volunteers saw a need in the Greater Cincinnati community that there are many individuals at risk and in need. Through this project, they help enrich the lives of those less fortunate than they are. Many of these projects benefit children both locally and nationally, as well as, homeless individuals, adult with special needs and our troops who defend our country.
This project will continue to provides good and services to enrich and enhance the lives of our community members who are less fortunate.
This project shows individuals in the community and their loved ones that there are seniors (80 years and older) who care about them and who want to make a difference in their lives and their loved ones lives.
