Above 80 and making a difference in purple. Many of our residents, average age 80 and older, were active community volunteers before moving to Cedar Village and want to continue their volunteer work throughout their retirement. New residents who are unfamiliar with volunteering are also welcome, as they find they now have more time to give back to their community.
The group of resident volunteers plan each weekly project and monthly outing collaboratively. They make a difference at community organizations such as the Ronald McDonald House, Crayons to Computers, group homes for people with developmental disabilities, and local homeless shelters. The whole time wearing their purple volunteer shirts, and their smiles.
