Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Access to education is a major contributor to child abandonment and continued poverty. Many parents in developing countries struggle to enroll their children in school and purchase supplies, families are easily bribed by promises of educational opportunities for their children. Often, these children become victims of abuse and slavery. Education can lead to self-sufficiency and break the poverty cycle. Real hope. Real change.
Children will receive education for a year while living in a Safehouse or with their families. We will ensure they have uniforms, books, tutor support and transportation to and from school for each child. Little Footprints Big Steps rescues and reunites children with their families and promotes sustainable development and strong families within Haitian communities. Your donation supports in-school, on-site, outreach support for educational needs. One child at a time, building a new way of life
This project will provide the opportunity for a self-sufficient, self-determined future in a real, accountable way. For the children, their families, their communities. This project will ensure the opportunity for successful education, changing the future of an individual, a family, a community, a country. YOU can help make it happen, one person at a time, and generations can be affected. Break the cycle of poverty. Education is the first step. It can start here and now. And it will last forever
