Holidays are just over and it’s back to school. We had wonderful moments with the high school students. Our mentorship and career development program was wonderful, all the high school and university sponsored students attended. We were privileged to have some of our sponsors on the ground and this gave it a meaning. We also invited all the guardians to this program and get to know more about the children in their care and know their roles in these children’s lives. It was meaningful for them to hear from our sponsors as well.
During the program we invited a computer technician to educate our students about media, the advantages and disadvantages. We felt there was a need for our students to know how to use the media well. He also advised those who are studying computer science and technology and this went so well. We invited one doctor, nurse, teacher, secretary, pastor, musician and a guard. We wanted the students to hear from those who are already in the field, to understand what it takes to achieve your goal in any career.
We also had birthday celebration for all the students, this was wonderful! Most of our students never celebrate their birthdays, some don’t know their birthdates, and we are grateful that through this program we can give them an opportunity to celebrate and even receive a gift from us.
We are very much grateful that you are able to help us do all these for the needy. You might not be able to feel how big the impact is but I can assure you that you have given hope to the hopeless. The high school students narrated their stories and encouraged the young ones who are still in primary school. They shared with them their experiences and without your support this would not be happening. You have helped us to put the Tumaini family together, filled with joy and happiness.
Census has been going on in our country for the last one week and therefor the school opening day was postponed. The schools are opening on the 2nd September and we are ready to send the students back to school.
Lastly we have 150 children in primary school who need sponsorship. We are kindly requesting you to share with others the good work you are doing in the lives of the needy and invite them to our family. We needy sponsors for our children and we can only have them through you. By sharing with families and friends, we will achieve. We are very much grateful for what you are doing. The difference you are making is beyond imaginations! Thank you
