Send 175 Students to High School in Belize

Hello Friends, Family and Supporters of Ocean Academy High School.

June 6th, 2025, Ocean Academy celebrated its 15th commencement exercise with 43 students graduating.  For many of our students, they are the first in their family to graduate high school.

On behalf of the students, teachers, and entire community of Caye Caulker, we extend our deepest gratitude for your generous support. Your contributions have made a meaningful and lasting impact on our school—an impact that reaches far beyond textbooks and classrooms.

Thanks to your kindness, our students now have greater access to the tools and opportunities they need to dream bigger and achieve more. Whether through improved facilities, learning materials, or scholarship support, your generosity is helping to shape a brighter future for every young mind here.

In a world where resources are not always equally shared, your gift is a powerful reminder that compassion and commitment can bridge any distance. You have not only invested in education—you have invested in hope, progress, and the potential of a generation.

Ocean Academy students will celebrate the beginning of Easter Break with a House Competition.

For those unfamiliar, the house system is a traditional feature of schools in the United Kingdom. The practice has since spread to Commonwealth countries and the United States.
The school is divided into subunits called "houses" and each student is assigned to one house at the moment of enrollment.
Houses may compete with one another at sports and maybe in other ways, thus providing a focus for group loyalty.
OA houses are Marlins, Sharks, Ospreys & Stingrays.

Both students and teachers are excited as we enter the last quarter grading period for this school year.  Easter break, Prom, Senior Parent Night, Graduation and Summer Break are all just around the corner.

Please consider spreading the word about Ocean Academy and our mission for universal education, so that the youth of Caye Caulker have the same privilege so many of us had growing up: a high school education.
