Thanks to you and our other generous donors we have raised over USD $8,464 towards this project on GlobalGiving. To date we have received 68 donations for this project. Our goal is still USD $20,000 but we are already moving forward with the amount raised, which will help fund 40 Filipino Amerasian children for a year!

PAGA continues with its busy calendar of events and services for assisting the development of our beneficiaries, and here are some of the activities from the past few months:

In November we gave an update presentation to members of the Manila Elks Lodge, a charitable fraternal organization and an important PAGA donor.

The annual December Christmas activities brought joy to the PAGA community. 146 beneficiaries and family members attended and enjoyed the food, Christmas baskets, games, prizes, and gifts.

On January 18 a Dental Clinic was conducted at the state-of-the-art facilities of National University's College of Dentistry. 34 beneficiaries availed of the free dental services.

Other areas of financial support during the past few months are:

Educational Assistance - P 13,525 USD $690 for (graduation expenses, books, uniforms, enrollment, etc.)

Disaster Relief - P 3,000 USD $60 (damages caused by Typhoon Tisoy)

Health Care - P 5,650 USD $110 (hospitalization, meds)

Again, sincere thanks to all who support our mission of improving the lives of Filipino Amerasian children!

PERSONALITY AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT

Seminar on “Promoting Self Care for Children and their Parents” with a team of resource persons from Angeles City Social Welfare and Development Office and DSWD Region 3.

Held on October 5, 2019 at Conference Hall, Barangay Balibago, Angeles City. 16 (8 students and 8 parents) attended and actively participated in the workshop. The seminar was timely and as they became abreast with the current societal concerns and how they can apply the learning as part of self-care. The total expenses of the activity were P6,194.00.

“On-Line Career Assessment Test” Guidance for Career Planning. The free career assessments for our Junior and Senior High students is courtesy of Mr. Malcolm Pick, National Director of Profiles Asia Pacific, Inc., a friend referral of Mr. F. Holz.

Held on October 26, 2019, 12 students (5 Grade 10 and 7 Grade 12) took the On-line Career Assessment Test that was conducted at the PAGA office in two batches. At the end of the activity, the students were asked about their experience and lessons learned taking the online assessment test, some of their responses are:

- The test was not easy, especially since it has a time limit, focus is very important.

- Read and understand the instructions carefully as well as the questions.

- Very timely, because soon, school tests, submission of projects and research might be on-line; and we’re able to experience it here in PAGA.

Thanks again for your donations. They are critical to our ongoing support and services.
