The Next Women Seed Cohort Is Almost Ready

By Maria Fernanda de la Cerda Sanchez | Executive Director

We are excited to share that the next generation of our Women Seed Program is making significant progress and is on track to begin this August.

One of our most important milestones has been securing a dedicated classroom for the program. Thanks to the support of local municipal authorities, we now have a permanent space in the indigenous community of Tlanecpaquila, Veracruz, where participants will receive their training over the coming months. Having a safe, accessible learning environment is a key step toward ensuring the program's success.

Another exciting achievement has been the arrival of a generous donation of 25 desktop computers from the Rotary Club of Puebla. These computers will allow every participant to develop practical digital skills through hands-on learning, creating opportunities that were previously unavailable in their community.

We also held our first informational meeting for women from Tlanecpaquila and neighboring indigenous communities. The response exceeded our expectations, with strong attendance and enthusiastic participation from women eager to improve their employment opportunities through digital education.

We are currently in the final enrollment stage, filling the last remaining spots before classes officially begin in August. The upcoming cohort will equip 25 indigenous women with practical computer skills while also strengthening financial literacy, emotional well-being, and professional development—helping them access better employment opportunities and increase their economic independence.

None of this would be possible without the generosity of our GlobalGiving supporters. Thank you for believing in the potential of these women and helping us create opportunities that can transform not only individual lives, but entire families and communities.
