Dear Friends,
Trust you are doing well and keeping safe and healthy.
2020 has been the most challenging year for our initiative, as it is impacting us on multiple fronts, briefly mentioned below
1) We are not able to connect to 2/3rd of our students who were with us at end of last academic year, due to their inability to benefit from online programs. They lack smart devices and/or good internet
2) Unavailability of good internet and good device for online study also impacts remaining 1/3rd of students who are joining us online. As due to that, the online experience is not very good for many of them. We are trying many new things to make it more interesting for them.
3) There is significant impact on livelihood of parents. Due to that, we have hardly received even 10% of school dues till Oct'20. Even more discouraging is, we are not sure when it will improve.
4) On the positive side, we received CBSE affiliation in July. We can now run class 9 and 10. We hope that if things improve for parents by Jan'21, we can have good admission numbers for next session.
5) Another positive note and heartfelt thanks to all our supporters, who continue to help us support our staff members with partial salary. Our finances are deeply impacted, and we are able to help our staff from April-Sep'20, only due to received donations by our wonderful supporters. Their help has enabled us to keep the initiative active and serve as many students we can.
We wish that some sense of normalcy returns soon to post Corona world, so that many children forced out of education and losing their interest, get a chance to get connected again. Also hope that regular cycle of education starts soon, making life simpler and more interesting for staff members and restoration of their just salaries once regular fees starts coming in.
We are attaching our latest newsletter. Kindly take a look and share your feedback.
Best Regards,

Dear Friend,
Dear Friend,
Dear Friend,
Greetings from Rise High Public School!!
Hope you all are having a great summer.
As shared in previous report, our laboratory infrastructure(room and furniture) is completed.
However, we are still short of fully furnishing it with lab materials due to lack of funds. We are taking the lab materials for next few weeks of usage only, so that studies are not hampered.
This year Aurangabad, Bihar is having a very harsh summer, resulting in record number of deaths also due to excessive heat. This has also hampered our school opening and running for desired number of hours, as the summer vacation had to be 2 weeks longer and also the working hours are restricted. We opened after summer vacation on 24th June and now we hope to utilize the lab better and give a good experience to our senior students.
Look forward to your continued support to provide a great lab experience to students.
Best Regards,
Rise High Public School Team
Dear Friend,
I am happy to share that with your kind support, we were able to reach 80% of our project budget and our composite science lab's construction part is completed.
We will submit our application for C.B.S.E affiliation for 2021-22 batch by 30th March 2019 and for that we are able to complete the composite science lab just in time to submit for inspection.
Our lab construction is finished now and we have also furnished it with 2 tables for Physics, 2 tables for Chemistry and 2 tables for Biology experiments. We have also constructed required cupboards for storage of lab equipments.
I am sharing few images of constructed lab and I am sure it will delight you as it is pleasing us.
We have utilized all the amount received from Globalgiving platform for this, and have deferred some payment for furnishing(Around INR 1 Lakh), that will be paid to vendor over next 3 months. We have few equipments at lab and need to purchase the rest(Budget about INR 1 Lakh).
We are bang on target with our budget for lab construction. With generous supporters like you, we hope to raise the remaining(~ USD 3000) amount for project by end of April for remaining payment to vendors and completing purchase of required equipments for experiments.
On behalf of students who would benefit from this facility, we thank you again for your encouragement and support to finish this much needed project for a village school.
Thanking You,
Management of Rise High Public School, Aurangabad, Bihar
