Since we published our Project in GlobalGiving, there was an earthquake in Loreto, where the communities we help are located. Fortunately, no one was hurt and there was no material damage.
About the project to restore the schools in the two communities, we have met with authorities of the Ministry of Education who are in charge of seeing the infrastructure of the schools, so that they can give us their recommendations about the special needs required for our project, given the environment where they are and the resources for maintenance. Our team of architects and engineers have already taken note of the recommendations for the development of the project.
The trip prior to the restoration of the schools has already been planned in order to be able to buy the materials near the communities and plan the last details. We thank you very much for your support in our task of rehabilitating the schools and thus be able to offer quality education to our children.
