José Juan Ortega Preschool – School Garden
Activities September 2024
As part of the beginning of the 2024 school year, José Juan Ortega Preschool, located in Comala, Jalisco, undertook the conditioning of the school garden. This happened with the help of teachers and parents. This initiative aimed to create a suitable and well-prepared space to support educational activities and foster hands-on learning experiences. The conditioning work included essential tasks such as weeding, sanding, and waterproofing the cultivation furniture, as well as painting and performing a thorough general cleaning. These efforts ensure that the garden is ready for use, allowing students to actively engage in agroecological projects. By revitalizing the space, the school reinforces its commitment to integrating environmental education into the curriculum, marking the start of a new cycle of growth and discovery in the agroecological classroom.
