Help us empower students in underprivileged communities!
The school garden at Jose Juan Ortega preschool in Comala Jalisco has lost funding for the 2024-2025 school year, leaving the school unable to maintain it. This garden serves 134 boys and girls aged 3 to 6.
This project will fund the preschool's school garden for the 2024-2025 school year. EDUCA's School Gardens serve as didactic tools for teaching environmental education, climate awareness, and sustainable development. Our approach integrates these themes across subjects, turning the garden into an innovative extension of the classroom. Teachers can continue implementing educational projects, like preserving the Nahuatl language, fostering active student and teacher involvement.
By engaging students in agroecological classrooms or school gardens, it fosters the development of environmental competencies. This not only equips them with practical skills but also instills a sensitivity towards environmental stewardship within their community. Over time, this could lead to a generation of environmentally-conscious individuals who actively contribute to the preservation and sustainability of their surroundings
