ECCA supported waste segregation bins to Vidhya Sagar Boarding School, Godawari Municipality-3, Lalitpur (in central Nepal), where around 450 children study. Altogether 4 big plastic dustbins (50 liters capacity) for school surrounding and 10 plastic dustbins (10 liters capacity) for classrooms were supported. The objective of the dustbin distribution was to make the students aware about the importance of WASH, support sanitation materials and thereby improve the school environment. During the handover, the teachers and students were also oriented on waste management.
Smile, a ninth grader student and child club president of school shared “Through our club, we are organizing different programs in our school for waste management and ECCA's support of separate dustbins for degradable and non-degradable waste ECCA will now help to promote 3Rs (Reuse, Reduce and Recycle) more systematically. We are very thankful for the support”.
We are also thankful for your continued support.
