Shree Janajyoti Secondary School is located in Janagal, Banepa-10, Kavrepalanchok district, Nepal. Community Drinking Water Project constructed an intake at a surface water source located uphill (around 600 meter from school). At the intake, this project allocated one connection outlet (of half inch diameter) for the school. Underground cement tank (20,000 liter capacity) was also constructed at the school premises from the government fund. However, due to shortage of fund, pipe connection from the water source intake to the school’s underground tank was pending, for which the school approached ECCA for the support. ECCA supported for the pipe purchase and labor (to lay the pipe).
The work is in progress. After completion of the works, the school will have sufficient water, thereby improving the school environment.
