The School Ear Health Program by Ear Care Nepal aims to reduce preventable hearing loss among Nepalese children through early detection, treatment, and community awareness. Hearing Impairment remains a significant public health concern in Nepal, particularly among school-aged children, where a large proportion of cases are caused by preventable or treatable ear conditions.
With your continued support through GlobalGiving, Ear Care Nepal has made meaningful progress in preventing and treating hearing loss among school children in Nepal. Over the past three months, we have been working relentlessly to ensure more children receive timely care and long-term support.
Our work:
School Ear Health Screenings & Surgeries
We continued our regular school screening programs, reaching children across multiple schools.
Mobile Ear Health Camp – Panchthar District (Eastern Nepal)
Reaching underserved community remains a priority. During this period, we conducted a mobile ear health camp in Phidim and Kumayak Municipality of Panchthar on 22nd and 23rd February, 2026. This ear health camp marked an important step in reaching children in geographically remote areas far from Kathmandu, where access to specialized ear care is extremely limited.
Reaching remote schools remains logistically challenging and follow-up care requires sustained effort. This camp highlights how your support enables us to bridge critical gaps in access and bring life-changing care to underserved communities.
Thank You!
Your generosity is directly transforming lives. From restoring a child’s hearing through surgery to reaching out to remote areas, your support is creating lasting impact across Nepal.
