New School Year Beings with Four New First Year Students and Returning Second Year Student
In our last report Kato-san, The President of the Sendai YMCA International Hotel and Pastry School, told us the school is undergoing renovations and that they were expecting to have two new Taylor scholarship students for the upcoming school year. The school year began again in April. We are happy to report that we have four new Taylor scholarship students! We welcome Riku, Akino, Chiho and Yuka to begin their studies and practices in hotel and pastry school. Kato-san tells us they are working hard to learn English.
All of the students need scholarships to attend the Sendai YMCA International Hotel and Pastry School because of hardships caused by the 2011 Japan Earthquake and Tsunami. The YMCA and TAMF provide these scholarships jointly.
