A New School Year
By Rebecca Giovannozzi | Program Coordinator
![]()
As the school year is quickly approaching, it is time once again to think about the children of Quang Tri Province who will be going to school this fall. Thanks to your support, we had provided 16 students with scholarships. However, we still have not reached our goal of $15,000, which would provide over 300 students with the ability to attend school. PeaceTrees has provided scholarships to students throughouts the year and we would not have been able to do so without your dedication.
These scholarships allow students ages 5 to 18 to attend school in Quang Tri. Each scholarship provides for a uniform, books, and other supplies necessary to ensure a child has everything they need in order to learn for his or her future. Please join us in helping another year of school children in UXO-affected areas to attend school. Thank you!
With Gratitude,

Graduation and Summer in Central Vietnam
By Rebecca Giovannozzi | Program Coordinator

It’s almost graduation and our kindergartners in Central Vietnam could not have done it without your help! Your generosity has helped provide many young children with the opportunity to grow healthily and learn more. PeaceTrees’ kindergartens are a safe place for children to learn Vietnamese and play, and we thank you for your continued support!
Quang Tri Province still bears the scars of war and often, unexploded bombs and mines threaten the health and livelihoods of many people. As a result, children are often malnourished and undereducated, especially in ethnic minority communities. Our scholarship program provides the supplies and support needed for students to succeed in primary school and beyond. In addition, we provide meals to give students the nutrients they need to grow and focus in school that they otherwise might not get at home.
We are so grateful for all your help so far and hope that you’ll continue to support the kids in Quang Tri Province by helping us reach our funding goal of $15,000!
Have a Wonderful Summer!

Springtime Growth Spurts
By Rebecca Giovannozzi and Elizabeth Wilhelm | PeaceTrees Vietnam Staff

With springtime upon us, the children of Quang Tri Province will be looking to their kindergartens to provide nutritious meals and a safe place to play. PeaceTrees’ kindergartens are a space for growth and learning, and we thank you for your continued support!
Our scholarship program benefits ethnic majority communities where the consequences of the war persist today. Explosive remnants of war threaten the safety of children, and continue to affect families’ economic opportunities. As a result, children are often malnourished and undereducated. PeaceTrees’ kindergartens teach Vietnamese so that children ages 3 to 5 are able to succeed in primary school. In addition, we provide meals to give students the nutrients they need to grow and focus in school.
So far, your donations to this project have helped to provide 16 children with new books, healthy meals, and a safe educational environment. We hope that you’ll continue to support the kids in Quang Tri Province by helping us reach our funding goal of $15,000!
In Gratitude,
PeaceTrees Vietnam
