Empowering Vulnerable Children Through Education – Odibu Foundation
Location: Yala, Cross River State | Period: April –June
This 3-month project supported 15 vulnerable children aged 6–14 in Yala, identified with community leaders, schools, and faith groups. Many were orphans or from displaced, low-income homes with no learning materials.
We distributed school bags, books, sandals, stationery, and math sets at a community event with motivational talks by teachers. Parents were sensitized on keeping children in school.
Impact: Reduced family costs, improved attendance and morale.
Challenges: Limited funding and logistics.
Next steps: Secure more funding, add mentorship, and partner with NGOs to scale and sustain impact.
