This project will provide educational and professional development opportunities to 5 marginalized and economically poor youth who display talents, intelligence and most importantly determination to pursue higher education but who are not able to afford their studies. Our goal is to educate and empower these young individuals to become self-reliant and self-sufficient members of society that can also positively contribute towards the development and peace of Bosnia and Herzegovina
Bosnia and Herzegovina suffers from 43% unemployment rate. Due to these harsh living conditions, education is becoming a commodity that many are not able to afford. In a country of less than 4 million inhabitants, almost 400,000 live below the poverty line. A lot of young people are leaving the country in pursuit of better opportunities leaving BiH with a serious brain-drain. We are empowering and educating youth so they seeks ways to become self-sufficient and help their community.
This project provides financial assistance for our beneficiaries to obtain education, employment opportunities and funds for personal development that better prepare each one of our beneficiaries to become self-reliant members of their country. Our beneficiaries are also encouraged to take language, computer and job training classes so that they are more desirable candidates for their future employers.
The project will provide continuous support and educational opportunities allowing them to rise out of poverty, which will provide for their families' better living conditions and well-being. Also, we are hoping to lessen the massive brain-drain that's become a serious problem in BIH. Our students are empowered to seek solutions, to become self-sufficient and all of them continue either to purse further studies, they are employed or start their own projects.
