Since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, hundreds of thousands of children and teenagers have arrived in Poland. Away from homes, often with a single parent or without parents, friends, or any sense of stability, they carry deep trauma, stress, and depression, and some of them commit suicide. This project provides free psychological consultations, support groups, and workshops on coping with stress and trauma and safe spaces to help them heal and rebuild hope.
There are currently 152,000 teenagers who sought refuge in Poland according to a recent UNICEF report. Without support networks or access to mental health care in their native language, many feel isolated, anxious, and overwhelmed. Through this project over 400,000 Ukrainian refugee teenagers in Poland will receive critical mental health support to, helping them cope with trauma, rebuild resilience, and find hope for the future.
With your help, we will be able to launch a lifeline for Ukrainian refugee teenagers: free psychological consultations in their native language, support groups where they can share their emotions and experiences, workshops on coping with stress and trauma, led by experienced therapists, safe spaces where these young people can rediscover hope and a sense of community. Together, we can save lives. Your impact matters!
This project will provide psychological support to 400 Ukrainian refugee teenagers, helping them heal from trauma, regain emotional stability, and build resilience. With access to therapy, support groups, and coping strategies, these teens will be less likely to suffer from long-term mental health issues such as anxiety, and depression. We are preventing future crises by equipping them with the tools to process their experiences and rebuild their sense of belonging.
