Japan Update
Today the Japanese Government issued their whalers a permit to kill 59 endangered fin whales in addition to 187 Brydes whales, 171 minke whales and 25 endangered Sei Whales that were already permmitted. Last month, Japan launched its new whale killing and processing vessel to kill these magnificent creatures.
In addition, in Taiji, Japanese dolphin hunters have slaughtered 883 dolphins and captured 14 bottlenose dolphins to sell to marine parks.
Japan is a rougue commercial whaling nation and dolphin killing country and we need your help to stop them.
Iceland Update
Today, after shutting down their whale hunts last summer due to inhumane killing methods used on killing endangered fin whales, the Icelandic Government issued a permit to kill 128 endangered fin whales this summer in defiance of the commercial whaling moratorium.
We need your financial help to help end these cruel and needless hunts.
Norway Update
As of today, Norwegian whalers have killed 304 minke whales and last year they killed 580 minke whales. Norway continues to defy the commercial moratorium on whaling even though there is no real demand for whale meat in their country.
All of us here are committed to doing everything we can to help Save the Whales Again!
We thank you all for your continuing support and ask you to please donate what you can to help us attend this year's meeting of the International Whaling Commission meeting this September 23rd - 27th in Lima Peru.
Sincerely,
