Japan Update

Japan left the International Whaling Commission on July 1 and is now commercial whaling. This year the Japanese whaling fleet killed 124 endangered Sei Whales and 330 minke whales.

In 2021 Japan plans to kill a total of 227 whales. Japan is a rougue whaling nation and we need your help to stop them.

Iceland Update

Great News! Iceland announced it will not kill any whales this year which makes two years in a row they have not killed any whales. They have not yet announced their plans for 2021. We hope this whaling ban becomes permanent. We will continue to monitor this situation and will update you if there are any changes.

Norway Update

Norway continues to defy the commercial moratorium on whaling and killed over 500 minke whales this year even though there is no real demand for whale meat in their country. They plan to kill over 600 whales in 2021.

All of us here are committed to doing everything we can to help Save the Whales Again!

We thank you all for your continuing support and ask you to please donate what you can to help us!

Sincerely,

Endangered Sei Whale
