During the reporting period, the project team conducted two mobile ophthalmology outreach visits to provide accessible eye care services to communities with limited access to specialized medical care.
As part of these visits, 310 people received comprehensive ophthalmological screening and consultations, allowing the medical team to identify existing vision problems and determine patients who may require further treatment or surgical intervention.
To address immediate eye health needs, the project also provided 365 bottles of eye drops to patients who required medical treatment and distributed 203 pairs of prescription glasses to people with identified vision impairment. These interventions helped patients improve their vision, manage existing eye conditions, and reduce barriers to accessing essential ophthalmological care.
The outreach visits demonstrated the strong demand for accessible ophthalmological services among underserved communities and provided an important foundation for further mobile missions and referrals for specialized treatment.
