Steadfast in Our Mission: Protecting the Youth of Ruboni
Thank you to everyone visiting our project page and following our journey. Since launching our campaign to save Ruboni Arts Village, our team has remained actively focused on our core mission. We are currently caring for over 100 vulnerable children and ensuring they have a safe place to learn, create, and grow every single day.
Creativity Amidst Uncertainty
Despite the looming threat of eviction from our rented premises, the energy inside our center remains vibrant. The children are actively participating in our "Waste-to-Wealth" program. They gather daily to collect plastic waste from the fragile mountain ecosystem and transform it into beautiful art. This process teaches them essential eco-entrepreneurship skills and gives them a vital sense of stability during an uncertain time.
Our Current Funding Hurdle
We recently celebrated a major milestone by receiving our very first donation on GlobalGiving! We are incredibly grateful to this supporter for believing in our vision. However, we have not yet secured the crucial funds needed to purchase the land and lay the foundation for our permanent Youth Training Hub. Time is of the essence as we work to transition from renters to owners before we lose our current sanctuary.
How You Can Help Us Build Momentum
To secure this permanent home for the youth of Kasese, we need to build our base of supporters. We are asking our global community to rally behind these talented young environmental protectors. Please consider making a donation today to fund our land acquisition. If you cannot donate right now, sharing our project link with your friends, family, and colleagues is just as powerful.
Will you stand with the children of Ruboni and help us share our story with the world today?
