Was the pain in the leg the first signs that something was must be wrong with Beatriz. Shortly before completing four years old, the Beatriz's mother discovered she had leukemia.
"I received a lot of support, but I lost the ground. Discover that your child has cancer is a too hard thing to support, but GRAACC was fundamental in our lives. Our daughter received medical treatment and health care assistance and we don’t pay for anything. It was all for free. We are eternally grateful to them", says Beatriz’s mother.
The beginning of treatment was very difficult for Beatriz 's mother. See her hair loss and other effects of the treatment made her mother sad, but she knew her daughter was receiving the best medical care to achieve the cure.
That was approximately 18 months of intensive chemotherapy and in some stages she had chemotherapy every day. The GRAACC Hospital become part of a family routine.
Because to the donations the GRAACC received, the hospital could offer the appropriate treatment for Beatriz and now she is She's been in maintenance since may 2015.
The Hospital GRAACC, the chances of cure for leukemia reach 90% if diagnosed early. The GRAACC is always looking for better ways to treat children with cancer and always with a special concern for the quality of life of patients undergoing treatment.
