Over the past few weeks, our team has continued rescuing abandoned pets from frontline and high-risk areas across Ukraine. Many of the animals we encounter are injured, malnourished, and have been surviving on their own for weeks after being left behind during evacuations.
Recently, we rescued several dogs found near damaged homes, along with multiple cats that had been sheltering in unsafe conditions without access to food or clean water. Many of these animals required immediate care, including treatment for wounds, infections, and severe hunger.
After being brought to safety, these pets received medical attention, nourishment, and a secure place to recover. It is incredible to see how quickly they begin to regain strength once they are no longer fighting to survive each day.
Each rescue is a reminder of how many animals are still out there waiting for help. Thanks to your continued support, we are able to reach more of these pets, provide life-saving care, and give them a second chance at life.
We recently captured a moment of one of our volunteers feeding a dog shortly after it was rescued from a frontline area. After days without food, this was one of its first safe meals. You can watch the moment here: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/jNK8TQvvk18
