The PASI, Project on Child Sexual Abuse Prevention, is a program that day to day is becoming more relevant in our city.
In accordance with the ICBF (Colombian Institute for the Family Well-being) to the end of the last year, there were about 10.000 opened cases for re-establishing the boys and girls’ rights due to sexual violence in Colombia. This without mentioning all the cases that are not denounced and remain in silence.
The Fundación Tiempo de Paz understands its crucial role within this unfortunate scenario, and with a hard work contributes in the demanding work of providing tools to the children for preventing the sexual abuse of boys and girls in our city.
During the last three months we deliver the project to 1238 children from the commune 16 (Belén La Nubia neighborhood) – intermediate sector, commune 3 (San Cristobal township, Chaparral commune and the municipality of Guarne-Antioquia. The children were 3-11 years old, who reinforced the learning about children sexual abuse prevention.
