Some children are not aware of the importance of taking care of their bodies, what is more they don’t know they must take care of it. Reducing sexual abuse requires adults training our kids in prevention more than in healing.
That’s why in Foundation Time of Peace are very interested in giving our beneficiaries tools of precaution and self-care, one of this activities was carried out during last month. Our staff developed some funny workshops with playful activities named “Experienced body, expressive body”. The objective was to teach kids the high value of their bodies, the idea was to induce kids to a conscious process of appreciation of the body.
Each child made a beautiful copy of his/her body with play dough and their wrote a letter to it. Kids must express how they value each part and they make a commitment for taking care of their bodies.
