Friends wish you a great 2015 ahead and wish to bring more happiness to SANTI children and youth.
In the last reporting for building roof I mentioned we were about to start training in new building and now yes we are proud to say that the building is partially built. We have finished one room, two rest rooms and started to train young students. Training is in full swing with five sewing machine and dedicated students.
We are a result oriented organization and I strongly believe SANTI youth should generate its own income. We are working hard on our goal to achieve that goal. So far we have helped local tailors to finish their work and SANTI youth were able to bring about 200 USD from their work. The accounting related to this initiative is managed by SANTI youth and profits were distributed among these students. The money they have generated so far ignited the fire inside them to learn better the sewing skills.
To ensure we are doing appropriate work, we invited few officers to visit our building and provide feedback on children progress. As of now Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO), Block Development Officer (BDO), District Child Protection Officer, District Youth Co-coordinator of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) and couple of other respected authorities have been visited SANTI. They all provided excellent feedback and impressed by our work. They expressed good words about adding value to the young generation of local area. As a donor you are part of this initiative and should be proud of your contributions.
We haven’t stopped working on the building construction and we want to continue because if we don’t then we will never be able to finish the building construction. Next focus is to finish the hallway and other rooms along with outside finishing.
Unfortunately, we are negative cash flow for this project and strongly need your support. Let’s put all put our energy to finish this building and provide a venue to self reliant SANTI youth.
