Tailoring for Tribal Women : A Path to Dignity and Income
This quarter, our focus remained on providing tailoring and vocational training to tribal women and girls through temporary spaces and outreach efforts. These sessions aim to help participants build practical skills in sewing, design and fabric handling.
Some trainees have already begun stitching garments for family members and local orders, gradually building a sustainable livelihood path. The sense of independence and pride is evident as they step into roles as micro-entrepreneurs and contributors to their households.
Infrastructure Status -
The permanent Empowerment Center structure has already seen significant progress. Some interior and finishing work such as wall plastering and electrical fittings is pending. While we continue training efforts in alternative venues, we remain committed to making this dedicated facility operational as soon as possible with available funding.
This center, once complete, will be a cornerstone for the region fostering lifelong learning, health and economic empowerment for tribal communities.
With gratitude,
