By Catherine Nakayemba | Project Leader

VISION

Gejja Women Foundation envisions a generation well-educated, economically independent and self-determined  women and girls who are in control over their own life, time and body and can stand up for their rights.

MISSION

We holistically empower marginalized women and girls in rural Uganda through business development, educational support, training in menstrual and reproductive health and gender mainstreaming.

INTRODUCTION

On September 13th 2021 Safe Girl under Gejja Women Foundation started a crowdfunding campaign on GlobalGiving platform with a purpose of fundraising $5000 as a criteria to become a member of the GlobalGiving.  With support from different donors, organizations, friends and family we were able to raise this money with a purpose of providing rural girls in Mpigi district with Safe Reusable sanitary pads as a way of saying Goodbye to unhealthy and unhygienic materials they have been using to manage their periods. With gratitude we would like take this opportunity once again to appreciate our amazing donors for believing in us and joining hands together with Gejja Women Foundation to end period poverty. THANK YOU
