Oliva & Tunu’s Toilet Construction Report
Oliva and Tunu have been living in extremely difficult conditions for many years. They have no proper toilet and have been forced to use a small hole in the ground with plastic bags for walls, no light, and no water—an unsafe and undignified situation for any child. Their elderly and sick father has done his best, but he is unable to provide the construction or repairs the family desperately needs. For the girls, especially at night, this situation has been frightening and unhygienic.
We are grateful to share that the construction of their new toilet structure is nearly complete. The foundation and main frame have been fully built, giving the family a safe and solid space to begin restoring their dignity. This is a major step forward for Oliva and Tunu, who have watched every stage of the process with excitement and hope.
The next phase is to put up the walls, which will finally give the girls privacy, protection from the weather, and a sense of safety they have never had before. After the walls, we will add the door, plaster, and finishing touches to ensure the toilet is clean, strong, and long-lasting. Once this is complete, the next critical need will be installing a water tank so the family can have access to clean water for washing, cleaning, and daily use—something essential for hygiene and health.
Thank you to everyone who has helped bring this project to life. Your support is giving two vulnerable children the chance to live with dignity, safety, and better health. As we continue with the final stages and plan for the water tank installation, we remain committed to ensuring Oliva and Tunu receive the care and support they need to grow up with hope and stability.
