Water, water everywhere but not a drop to drink! Isn’t this what we have been seeing and hearing on the global news? The story continues to be true in Vietnam also. Global changes in weather are huge challenges. This is also true in rural Vietnam. The children in pre-school and kindergarten in rural districts have additional challenges. These challenges range from limited access to running water coming from rivers and streams and natural springs. It also is challengin for the teachers to boil enough water for the children to drink on a daily basis.
MEDRIX continues to assist by not only providing water filtration units, but also by supporting continuing education for teachers in rural areas.
Many times, the preschool or kindergarten teacher also provides counsel to the parents and the community about health-related issues. They provide routine advice on everything from personal cleanliness including latrine sanitation and handwashing.
MEDRIX is working with both the local and rural centers to help in the water crisis by providing safe water filters and continued education. Education for both children and their caregivers is important!
Join us today in supplying rural communities with water safe water for drinking and continued education for safer community wellness!
Thank you for your support.
A team of health educators from MEDRIX will be working this season in Vietnam with partners there. This is the first time since the pandemic were in-person collaboration will again be possible! Children are back in school and teachers are back to teaching! We're excited! Give today for a healthier and safer water environment for our Vietnamese children!
