We have finished the first part of this great project that we are very excited about! We continue to take steps to change the reality of kindergarten and nursery n°193. This project will meet the demand for safe water of 142 boys and girls.
The first step was an analysis with the local community to categorize the problem from the perspective of the beneficiaries.
Then, we made the delimitation of the land, we designed the sketch, and bought the necessary materials to begin the construction, while we called together with the local leaders the masons and volunteers.
Today with great happiness we can tell you that we have completed the construction of a rainwater harvesting system with a storage of 52,000 liters.
We hope to set, soon, date to continue working on the education stage on the right to water and sustainability of water resources in order to awaken, on children, interest in the subject, learn about the problems of other children in the country, and become aware of good practices and care of the water.
"It is a great satisfaction to see that, despite so many stumbles, this project that was a dream of Kindergarten n°193 has been achieved and today it is a reality. We just have to wait for the rains!" - Miriam Sarrionandia, Director of Kindergarten and nursery n° 193, Los Frentones, Chaco
