Challenge

Fishing communities face significant SRH challenges, including high abortion care costs, stigma deterring access to services, limited family planning resources, misconceptions about abortion, and inadequate access to quality clinical care. Tackling these issues with sensitivity is crucial for improving reproductive health outcomes in these communities.

Solution

This project will improve SRH outcomes in fishing communities by providing free safe abortion and family planning services through mobile clinics, reducing stigma through education, and ensuring access to these services. It will train healthcare providers, bridge healthcare gaps, and use robust monitoring to track progress, empowering 5,000 women and fostering sustainable reproductive health support.

Long-Term Impact

The project will create lasting improvements in maternal health by reducing unsafe abortions and unintended pregnancies, empowering women and girls with greater control over their reproductive choices. It will build sustainable healthcare systems by training providers and peer educators, normalize SRH services by reducing stigma, and enhance economic stability through healthier communities.
