Uganda’s population according to world population review is roughly 45.71 million and the sex ratio is 94.8 males to 100 females with an average household size of about 4.7 but, each district has a different size ratio. Many of the people migrate to different areas because they live below the poverty line of less than a dollar a day and as much as Uganda’s real estate is growing and booming the majority of Ugandan’s are not able to afford a safe home due low incomes and high cost of construction material.
Everyone deserves to have a safe place to live. However, many families in Uganda live in substandard houses due to the poor financial status of the people especially in rural areas. This has put many lives of vulnerable children at risk by living in houses with linking roofs, mud floors and broken or cracked walls. With the burning need to help vulnerable children, Another Hope Children’s Ministries decided to empower one of the families by refurbishing the house where they live.
The condition of the house for beneficiary A before AHCM came in to support.

She accumulated some money which helped her add on two rooms to make it three rooms because she had more grand children to accommodate but the money was not enough to enable her finish the house completely so she had to just stay in the dump house says beneficiary A.
At the time Another Hope the old lady, the condition in which the house remained was so unsafe for her and her seven grand children because it had cracked walls, linking roof and dusty floor. She couldn’t afford buying all required windows and doors therefore she fixed the gap with iron sheets. Another Hope Children’s Ministries decided to help this woman refurbish as a Christmas gifts for through the Safe Habitant for this Christmas Project.
