Safe Futures for Children Syrian Female Survivors

Dear Friends and Supporters,

For children whose mothers have survived detention and severe hardship, the effects of those experiences do not end when detention ends. Families often return to communities carrying emotional, social, and economic burdens that can deeply affect their children.

Some children struggle with fear, insecurity, disrupted learning, financial hardship, and limited access to safe spaces where they can express themselves, play, learn, and regain a sense of stability.

Our Safe Futures for Children Syrian Female Survivors project was created to stand beside these children and their families during this difficult journey.

Creating Safety Around the Child

A child’s recovery requires more than one form of assistance.

That is why this project combines psychosocial support, child protection services, safe learning activities, cash assistance, and food support. The aim is to address both the emotional and practical pressures affecting children and their families.

Through the project, planned support includes safe psychosocial activities where children can express their emotions and strengthen coping skills, child protection follow-up, and opportunities to participate in structured learning and recreational activities.

Families will also receive practical assistance designed to reduce some of the economic pressure affecting the child’s well-being.

When Basic Needs Affect Recovery

For a family already dealing with the consequences of detention and instability, the cost of food, clothing, hygiene items, and school supplies can create additional stress.

The project therefore plans to provide USD 50 in direct cash assistance for each supported child, helping families meet urgent needs such as clothing, school supplies, or hygiene items. Food baskets will also help participating families maintain access to essential food.

By addressing these immediate needs alongside psychosocial and protection services, we hope to create a more stable environment in which children can heal, learn, and grow.

We Are Still at the Beginning

This campaign is still in its early stages, and we have a long way to go.

Our goal is $5,000, and every new contribution brings us closer to providing comprehensive support to children and families who have already endured extraordinary hardship.

$10 can help provide psychosocial activity materials for a child.

$25 can contribute toward psychosocial support and protection follow-up.

$50 can provide direct cash assistance for one child.

$100 can help provide a food basket for a child and their family.

$200 can contribute toward a comprehensive package of psychosocial support, protection activities, cash assistance, and food assistance for one child and family.
