Dear All,
This report covers the period from March 15, 2024, to July 20, 2024 and is our seventeenth report on the project of Safeguarding Frogs and Birds in Masuria, Poland.
Enclosed are a few pictures of our park with some visitors taking a tour of our biodiversity project. There is many new plants, bushes and trees to see, and very often there is a volunteer ready to introduce our goals to anyone who would like to listen about importance of biodiversity ventures.
Fortunately this year there was enough water in the pond to have fire-bellied toad coming back for the Spring breeding. The whole Masuria region is struggling with a lack of water so having an amphibian as fire-bellied toad coming back raised our hearts.
Also there were some volunteers helping us with weeding which is a major issue this year. There is many new plants struggling with a invasive weed which is aegopodium podagraria. This small plant makes us cry.
But above all we do really appreciate your wonderful support, and keep our fingers crossed to have your back for years to come.
All the best,
Grazyna Polkowska
