Second chance education for orphans in Mbare

We are on the Next Level!

Dear friends and partners,

You might be wondering why I am saying we are on the next level. I am excited to share with you that your support over the years yielded positive fruits. We now have increased our enrollment of secondary school learners from 75 a year to 100 per year. We were reaching 100 learners out of school children at primary school. It means we are now reaching at least 200 learners who were once out of school with second chance education at our centre.

What is the exciting news for you our supporters is that the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education have acknowledged our efforts alongside formal systems of providing education and registered our centre for out of school children formally. That is as a result of your continous support over the years. And moreso now with the formal registration, we can apply to become a public examination centre. I believe we will be registered as an examination centre and will come and share the news with you.

One more thing, that you might have noticed already, we have rebranded and changed our name from Chiedza Child Care Centre to Chiedza, our motto is Be The Light! You have been the light for the vulonerable children in our communities. Kindly continue to be even this festive season by giving towards our cause and inviting friends to also BE THE LIGHT!

The funds are used to buy food for the learners, text books, furniture, pay volunteer teacher stipends, pay school fees, examination fees and classroom maintanance.
