Progress Update - Kakuma Learning Hub

By Marcela and Karla | Brave Future

Learners in front of the gate
Learners in front of the gate

Dear friends,

I’m writing with a small but meaningful update from Kakuma. Thanks to your generosity, the fence around the Learning Hub site is now complete — a simple structure that already brings a sense of safety, care, and hope to the space.

We’ve also added a temporary latrine and built a small shelter for the families who take turns watching over the site. These modest additions mean that those protecting the space can do so in greater comfort and dignity while we prepare for the next stages of construction.

Every improvement, no matter how small, is a reminder of what’s possible when compassion turns into action. The dream of a sustainable learning hub — a place powered by solar energy, connected to the world, and open to learners from the community — is becoming more real each day.

Thank you, deeply, for being part of this journey with us. Your kindness is helping us build more than a structure — it’s helping us build a future filled with opportunity and hope.
